Lifestyle guidance at MediMax Obesity Institute includes evidence-based advice and medical support to help you lose weight and improve your overall health.* Our guidance comes from a team of family physicians and allied health professionals. We can work with you to improve your:
- Sleep
- Diet
- Sexual health
- Exercise routines
- Stress management
You’ll also get ongoing, follow-up support 1 to 2 times per month upon completing our program. This will ensure that you maintain your weight loss.
Exercise, dieting, refraining from tobacco and alcohol are all fairly well known and are always recommended. But based on your personal medical history and your weight loss goals, we can determine more steps that you can take to lose weight and extend your life.* When you schedule an appointment with us, we do not just prescribe weight loss medication and push you out the door. We take a comprehensive approach and we aim to build relationships with our patients. We can guide and advise you on the little things you can do to ward off or treat high cholesterol, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and other risk factors associated with obesity.*
